Event Evangelism is normally centred on the metropolitan areas. The EDGroup came to the conclusion that most of our rural churches in the “Heartland of New Zealand” were not recieving the same help/opportunities that bigger cities have in the past.

The EDGroup felt this matter was so important that they spent many months in prayer and contemplation as to what the will of the Lord would be. We praise God for the great success of Alpha, Purpose Driven Church, Promise Keepers, Journeys, etc, that are operating from local Churches. However, we concluded that there was a need to help the overworked pastors of our land to recieve a tool and resource that will allow them to undertake more direct outreaches from their own church, without past difficulties.

The Preaching and Teaching Evangelists directory was born. This includes all the currently available gifted preaching and teaching evangelists in our nation. After months of research we found 30 such servants of God. We believe that the next wave of evangelism will come from Heartland New Zealand.
